Kollins Facilitates Transport of Generators, Supplies to Hurricane Irma Victims
Ramsey, New Jersey – In the wake of Hurricane Irma, Kollins Communications made a commitment to provide support for relief efforts through material and virtual assistance to victims in Jost Van Dyke, and Tortola, British Virgin Islands.
The material hurricane relief is comprised of six generators of various sizes as well as three chainsaws with extra chains. Kollins worked to expedite this shipment, which was initally scheduled to arrive to the smallest of the four main British Virgin Islands by September 22. Due to Hurricane Jose, this shipment has been delayed indefinitely.
Kollins has also raised awareness of this humanitarian crisis by updating the websites of local JVD business such as Foxy’s Tamarind Bar, Perfect Pineapple Guest Houses, Bunn’s Taxi, and North Latitude Marina.
“We are deeply saddened by the devastating impact Irma has had on so many people throughout the United States and beyond it, in places like Jost Van Dyke,” said Richard Martin at Kollins. “It is our hope that our contribution to the relief efforts will not only help those affected but inspire others to help victims as well.”
To help those hurricane victims in need of financial relief and supplies, Kollins encourages that people visit the following webpage: https://www.gofundme.com/jost-van-dyke-humanitarian-aid.
